Tiago Ferreira is a professional specializing in brand management and franchising, business expansion, and executive leadership in the Quick Service Restaurant sector. He currently serves as Director of Operations and Head of Franchising, responsible for a network of 70 restaurants in Portugal and Spain. The chain has more than 600 employees.

Throughout his career, he has built a track record marked by sustainable growth, value creation for investors, and operational excellence, always focusing on best management practices that fit the business model and brand consistency. He served as global marketing director for four years. His leadership spans several operational departments. 

Management Functions and Responsibilities

As Head of Global Franchising, he has C-level responsibilities, including:

  • Defining the expansion strategy: planning and executing the opening of new franchising units, ensuring financial viability and market suitability.

  • Investor relations management: attracting, negotiating, and monitoring negotiations with strategic partners, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision and values.

  • Franchise governance and compliance: developing policies, operating manuals, and quality standards, ensuring uniformity across the network.

  • Network P&L management: analysis of unit financial performance, optimization of results, and support for investor business profitability.

  • Leadership and management of multidisciplinary teams: coordination of areas such as operations, marketing, expansion, and franchisee support in an ecosystem of more than 600 employees. 

  • Development of strategic partnerships: negotiation with suppliers and stakeholders to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the network.

  • Business innovation and transformation: constant adaptation to new consumer trends and digitization of the restaurant sector.

  • Study of new foreign markets: attracting, negotiating, and monitoring negotiations with strategic partners in new markets.

Results Achieved

  • 56 new openings in 6 years, leading all phases: investor recruitment, contract negotiation, operational implementation, and inauguration. Turnover 37.000.000,00€

  • Strategic management of 73 active restaurants, with a direct impact on a structure of 600 employees.

  • Expansion of the brand in competitive markets, reinforcing the company's reputation and position as a benchmark in restaurant franchising, launching it into the national Top 3.

  • Recognized for his ability to build bridges between investors, teams, and customers, ensuring a solid, results-oriented network.
